You’ll love how your energy shifts and your interactions become more positive after working together! I’m excited for you to experience more peace and confidence and live the life you’re meant to live.
There are more and more conversations lately about AI vs human, artificial intelligence versus human intelligence. As with any new innovation, we as humans are trying to determine the best way to utilize it. How can it make our lives easier? Where can it support our daily lives and do the heavy lifting for us?
There are also discussions about when is using AI cheating. About how long will teachers be able to spot the use of AI and stop it so as to not to impede the learning process. What about leveraging artificial intelligence in place of truly human things? Think emotion, empathy, and love. Is that considered cheating? Or the flip side, how much value is AI really bringing to a situation that is meant to be truly human – imperfect and vulnerable.
The battle of AI vs human is here and I believe here to stay, unless artificial intelligence takes over and then we’re all in trouble… But let’s leave that conversation for another day.
With some recent versions of AI software, you can now train it to use your voice. To create content that sounds like you wrote it. It may seem intriguing and helpful, but can AI emote like you? Can it really understand your audience, their feelings, their reactions, their emotional state and speak directly to it? Maybe. But let’s talk about how that is received on the other side.
According to quantum physics, everything is made up of energy and that energy vibrates at different frequencies. Those energy vibrations can change in response to different states of the object or individual. You’ve probably experienced a change in vibration of a crystal glass when you run your finger across the top at the right speed. This vibrational energy then attracts similar energy. At my son’s high school graduation, a teacher told a story of how he was playing the piano in a music room and ended with a singular note that he let linger. Shortly thereafter, another piano in the room started vibrating at that same frequency and joined in.
Similarly, humans have an energetic vibration that adjusts based on their state. I’m sure you’ve walked into a room and could feel the tension or the joy. You emit different vibrational frequencies when you are happy, anxious, afraid, or in empathy. That’s where the practice of manifestation and attracting come from. When you create from these states, your words or other creations will emit the same response. The Heartmath institute has some great resources on what this looks like and how to influence your heart vibration, if you’re curious.
So what does this have to do with the AI vs human discussion? If you decide to “phone it in” and allow AI to write your website content, blogs or social media posts for you, those artifacts will emit the vibration of the machine that wrote them. If that sounds too strange to wrap your head around then think about whether or not that content is in alignment with YOUR energy. If you are supposed to be writing to and connecting with people, how is that possible if your energy is not behind the words?
Authenticity is also something that’s getting a lot of attention these days. In my book authenticity means to be yourself, not someone or something else.
Let’s look at the dictionary definition:
Authentic
With the popularity in both of these concepts, I imagine there are people who are proclaiming that authenticity is the way to go, but also use AI as a proxy for who they really are. Seems a little contradictory, right? To be clear, I’m not throwing stones, because I’ve dabbled with having AI write some of my content. I didn’t love how it turned out and I felt out of integrity with who I wanted to be. I’ve since decided that only I can reflect me, who I am, how I feel and attract the people and connections that are meant for me. A machine can’t do that know matter how much easier it would make my life.
As you might expect, research shows that AI significantly lacks emotional intelligence required for effective leadership and management. And it is being used in places that need to rely on more than just data. For example AI is helping the human workforce to evolve their skills and roles by identifying roles based on their experience. But it needs the human element to apply that to the emotional elements at play and ensure we are doing what’s right for the individual and the business. The information from AI should be an input to the decisions, not drive it. On the other extreme, I’ve heard of business colleagues using AI to write emails to each other. Talk about inauthentic!
So, where do we draw the line? At what point does the convenience of AI become a serious diversion to the genuine human connections that are so critical to our lives, both personally and professionally?
Think back to the story of the high school teacher and the piano—a reminder of how subtle and profound vibrational influence can be. When AI steps in to automate interactions, whether in customer service with emotionless chatbots or in content creation that lacks the creator’s personal touch, something vital is lost. The experience becomes so precise and emotionless that the audience becomes uninterested at best and frustrated at the worst. Research is showing that while AI can mimic certain patterns, it cannot truly replicate the nuanced emotional engagement of human interactions. This disconnect can lead to a decrease in customer satisfaction and personal disengagement.
There’s no arguing that AI provides benefits in terms of efficiency and analytical capabilities, but we cannot underestimate the impact of its inability to engage on a human level. Human engagement is crucial not only for effective leadership but also for meaningful personal relationships. As we continue to integrate AI into more aspects of our lives, I urge you to maintain a clear distinction between tasks that require the efficiency of AI and those that benefit from the human touch.
Instead of looking at the conversation as AI vs human, I think we need to look at it as AI + human. The balance needs to fall based on what each does best. The overall goal is to ensure we are enhancing human life for all humans rather than diminishing connections by relying on technology that makes our life easier in the short-term. In the end, the quality of our interactions—whether they’re with customers, coworkers, or loved ones—hinges not on the technology we use but on the energetic vibration, authenticity and intention we bring to each encounter.
